اِسكُبوا الكَأسَ إِلى النَو

مِ وَخَيرُ اللَهوِ تَجري

Pour the wine into cups,

The best pastime flows.

إِن يَكُن لا بُدَّ نَومٌ

فَاِعذُروا النَومَ بِسُكرِ

If sleep must come,

Then let it come from drunkenness.
