The one who blamed me today for being drunk, no excuse for him!

Bring the large cup and let the other one, though small, be free.

The gloomy face frowned at the drinker, so the sun of daytime hid,

We knew no news of it, until it weighed down heavily with burden.

No land in Baghdad but craved rain, when little of it remained,

It thundered and lightened for the pouring rain, its eyelids blinked.

It came with snows like white roses lavishly scattered.
