إِذا أَحسَستَ في خَطِّ فُتوراً
وَحَظِّيَ وَالبَلاغَةِ وَالبَيانِ
When you sense languor in my verse
In eloquence, rhetoric and expression
فَلا تَرتَب بِفَهمي إِنَّ رَقصي
عَلى مِقدارِ إيقاعِ الزَمانِ
Do not doubt my understanding, for my dance
Moves to the rhythm of time
