عُيونٌ كَساها الغَيثُ ثَوباً مِنَ الهَوى
فَأَجفانُها بيضٌ وَأَحداقُها حُمرُ
Eyes the rain clothed in garments of passion
Their lids are white, their pupils red
إِذا شَمَّها المُشتاقُ خالَ نَسيمَها
سَحيقاً مِنَ الكافورِ شيبَ بِهِ الخَمرُ
When the longing one inhales their fragrance
Abundant camphor in which the wine turns grey
