1. قَد نَتَنَ المَجلِسُ مُذ جِئتَنا

    فَكُلُّ مَن مَرَّ بِهِ يَبصُقُ

    The gathering has stunk since you came

    So all who pass by spit

  2. فَغَذَّ إِبطَيكَ وَأَشبِعهُما

    في الصَيفِ بِالمَرتَكِ يا أَحمَقُ

    Feed your armpits and let them feast

    In summer with sweat, you fool

  3. وَلا تَقُل ما فيهِما حيلَةٌ

    فَالحَشُّ قَد يُكنَسُ أَو يُطبَقُ

    Don’t say they’re out of tricks

    For rubbish can be swept or covered
