فَجَّعَنا فَيروزُ لا دَرَّ دَرُّهُ

بِأَبيَضَ يَتلو المُحكَماتِ مُنيبِ

Fayrouz gladdened us, his pearls plentiful

In white reciting the decisive verses reverently

رَؤوفٍ عَلى الأَدنى غَليظٍ عَلى العِدى

أَخي ثِقَةٍ في النائِباتِ نَجيبِ

Kind to the lowly, stern towards the enemy

A brother, trustworthy in adversities, noble

مَتى ما يَقُل لا يَكذِبُ القَولَ فِعلُهُ

سَريعٍ إِلى الخَيراتِ غَيرَ قَطوبِ

When he speaks he does not lie, his words become actions

Quick to good deeds, not slow

مُطيعٌ لِأَمرِ اللَهِ بِالحَقِّ عارِفٍ

بَعيدُ الأَنامِ عِندَهُ لَقَريبُ

Obedient to Allah’s command in truth, knowing

Distant from people, yet close to him
