O ignoble one, if you were a man of integrity

Then make amends, it would bring you good repute

You know well the standing of your aunts

And the judicious understand the truth

Al-Farafisha son of Al-Ahwas has for your mother

Sorrow, one of the daughters of Ukab

I gather that you are the vilest who walked

In the indecency of a harlot and the vanity of a crow

Thus did the ancients bequeath you that they

Perished while you remained in shame and torment

Wickedness is a known inheritance from you

Far from you are the nobilities of lineage

You inherited from your father betrayal and impiety

And wickedness when merits are weighed

And your vileness revealed that your mother

Was none but for the evil of nomads’ debauchery

Of little mind in the indecency of a well-known harlot

    Renowned for abomination and curses

You marked your lineage, then claimed to be the youth

And dyed your hands like a thief with henna

And you sat for the pimp in a tempting session

And stared with desire at a harlot’s eyes

Your soul deluded you, O Saqab’s son, with a death wish

Your soul lied to you, it has no determination
