When God revives a people through their deeds,

And the Merciful Lord helps them in the east,

Then may my Lord destroy you, O Utaybah bin Malik,

And may you be struck by lightning before death.

You extended your hand against the Prophet with an arrow,

So you bloodied his mouth, torn by lightning.

Why did you not fear God and the place

Where you will end up after one of the calamities?

It was disgraceful for his people in life,

And after death, one of the greatest calamities.

So who can excuse me from Abd Udhra after

He fell into the turbulent, stormy sea?
