بَقِيَّتُكُم عَمرٌ أَبَحناهُ بِالقَنا

بِيَثرِبَ نَحمي وَالحُماةُ قَليلُ

Your lives are left a brief span, we cut them down with spears,

In Yathrib little shelter could you gain against us here.

وَنَحنُ قَتَلناكُم بِكُلِّ مَهَنَّدٍ

وَنَحنُ وُلاةُ الحَربِ حينَ نَصولُ

When we attacked you boldly in battle after battle,

Smiting you with the keen-edged sword, we proved to be your bane.

وَنَحنُ قَتَلناكُم بِبَدرٍ فَأَصبَحَت

مَعاشِرُكُم في الهالِكينَ تَجولُ

At Badr we did destroy you, and you in heaps on heaps now lie,

While all around the battle field your wailings loud outcry.
