O you who fear the sins you imagine to be grave
God is greater, even loftier than greatness
Ma'mun son of Harun, the sweetness of pardon has led him
To forgive even a criminal, if he comes to him
And that slave, he has a soul that tempts him
And the soul always incites to evil and vengeance
So how would the Merciful, the Compassionate One whose mercy
Encompasses all with bounty and nobility treat you?
Think good thoughts of Him, for with forgiveness you will meet Him without sin
