أَرى غُصنَ المَسَرِّةِ قَد تَثَنّى

وَقَمَري الهَنا بِالبِشرِ أَفصَحُ

I see the branch of happiness has bent over

And my moon has become eloquent with good news

وَهَنَّأَ رَبَّهُ عَبدُهُ الحَمولي

أَخا الإيناسِ مَن لِلقَلبِ يَشرَحُ

Abdul Hamouli has congratulated his Lord

O brotherly companion, who gladdens the heart

وَجاءَ الدَهرُ مُعتَذِراً إِلَيهِ

وَيَرجو أَنَّهُ يَعفو وَيَفصَحُ

Time has come apologizing to him

Hoping he would pardon and become eloquent

وَعَوَّضَ ما أَساءَ بِخَيرِ نَجلٍ

شَبيهَ البَدرِ بَل أَحلى وَأَملَحُ

And compensated for the wrongs with a good son

Resembling the full moon, nay sweeter and more eloquent

وَأَنبَأَ أَنَّهُ سَينالُ نَجحاً

وَفي العُمرِ المَديدِ يَظَلُّ يَمرَحُ

And brought news that he will succeed

And in a long life, he will always frolic

فَسَمّاهُ مُحَمَّدٌ مُستَمِدّاً

بِيُمنٍ سَمِيُّهُ الهادي المُرَجَّحُ

So he named him Muhammad, drawing

Auspiciousness, his guide, the decisive has favored him

وَوَفاهُ البَشيرُ وَقالَ أَرخِ

يَعيشُ مُحَمَّدٌ وَتَراهُ يَربَحُ

And the herald bid him farewell, saying live long

Muhammad, you will live and prosper
