أَوَّلاً يَجوزُ لِسَيِّدي فَيَجودُ لي

بِإِشارَةٍ تَبدو مِنَ الذَوقِ السَليمِ

First, my master may bestow upon me

With a gesture of good taste

دَعني مِنَ الإِعراضِ لَستُ بِخائِفِ

إِلّا مِنَ الإِعراضِ وَاللَهُ العَظيمِ

Let me be, I'm not afraid

Except from turning away, by God the Great

اَنا عَبدُهُ وَكَما عَلِمتُ كِفايَتي

مِنهُ الرِضى فَضلٌ مِنَ اللَهِ جَسيمِ

I am his servant, and as I know my adequacy

Is his approval, a great favor from God

أَمّا السُكوتُ فَبَعدَ ذاكَ أُعِدُّهُ

رَدّاً عَلى الأَعقابِ يَرحَمُنا الرَحيمِ

As for silence, after that I consider it

A rejection, may The Merciful have mercy on us

لَكِنَّني أَنا واثِقٌ بِسَماحِهِ

رَغمَ العِداةَ وَكُلُّ شَيطانٍ رَجيمِ

But I am confident in his forgiveness

Despite the enemies and every accursed devil
