O people of Qalyub with good tidings rejoice

You will be safe from harm atop fortune's ridge

And you will see, in fair accord, the finest sights

With all attaining what each had hoped to bridge

For your governor has gathered every virtue

Like the full moon dispelling darkness from its edge

And what's recounted in your history

The Qalyub region thrived in days of privilege
