لِدَولَةِ التُركِ أَشكو
هَولَ الهَوى وَاِنهِيالَه
To the state of the Turks I complain
Of the intensity of passion and yearning
وَما يُعانيهِ قَلبي
مِن جَورِ تِلكَ الغَزالَه
And what my heart endures
From the injustice of that gazelle
وَغايَةَ الأَمرِ أَنّي
مَلَلَتُ كُلَّ المَلالَه
And the crux of the matter is that
I am weary of all weariness
وَقَد أَتَيتُ إِلَيهِم
أُريدُ مِنهُم عَدالَه
And I have come to them
Seeking justice from them
