يا هماماً لفضلِه

يشهدُ السمع والبصر

O source of nobility

Hearing and sight testify

كلُّ معنًى مهذَّبٌ

من معانيك مبتكر

Each refined meaning

Is innovated from your meanings

أنتَ للفضلِ روحُه

وجميعُ الورى صور

You are the soul of virtue

And the forms of all creation

وكذا أنتَ للزما

ن مقيلٌ إذا عثر

And so you are for time

A support when it stumbles

فاقبلنَ عذرَ من أسا

ما مسيءٌ من اعتذر

So accept the apology of one who has

Wronged, when he apologizes
