أنجومٌ بنورِها يُستضاءُ

نَثرتها بأُفقها العَلياءُ

Stars with their light to illuminate

Scattered across the sublime horizon

أم مزاياً تودُّ لو أنَّ منها

فَصَّلت نظمَ عقدِها الجوزاء

As if revealing their sublime traits

Composing a poem like a pearl necklace

مكرماتٌ بنشرِها الفضلُ يحيى

لكريمٍ لولاهُ مات الرجاء

Blessings spreading goodness through generosity

Bringing hope to life for the noble one

لا تقس واصلاً بمن كلّ يومٍ

واصلٌ للوفودِ منهُ عطاء

Do not cease being loyal to one whose

Caravans of gifts arrive daily

كرمٌ تستهِلُّ في كلِّ قُطرٍ

من غواديهِ ديمةٌ وطفاء

Generosity flowing steadily in every land

With constant rivers and rainfall

يا مُطيبَ القِرى إذا ما اقشعرَّت

ببني الدهرِ شَتوةٌ غبراء

O sweet dwellings when the bitter winter

Covers all people with its wind

أينَ من يرتقي لعلياكَ منهم

وهمُ في الهبوطِ عنك سواء

Where are those who can rise up to your heights

While they remain below you, leveled?

وسماءٌ تظلُّهم وهي أرضٌ

لك لكنَّها عليهم سماء

A sky that shades them though to you it’s land

To them a sky, to you a land

إنَّ هذي الدنيا يشعُّ عليها

رونقٌ منك رائقٌ وبهاء

Truly, over this world shines

A delicate grace and splendor from you

قد زهت بالزورا لأنَّك فيها

فهي عينٌ لها وأنت ضياء

Adorned with falsehoods for you are in it

An eye for it, and you are the light

لك يا ما أرقَّ طَبعكَ حلمٌ

هو في الخطبِ صخرةٌ صمَّاء

You whose nature is most serene, patience

In calamities, an unmoving rock

وسجايا تنفَّس الروضُ منها

عن نسيمٍ تُظلُّه الأنداء

With qualities where the meadow breathes

The gentle breeze shadowed by clouds
