Your greeting pours down
Like the solace of a lonely refuge
O abode whose beauty and grace
Have not been stripped by the passage of time
The winds softly blew through you
A gentle zephyr, never a north wind
How many virtuous women
Have erected barriers against the jealous here?
Every gentle-natured gazelle
Folds her skirts coyly
O Saad, cease this passion
For you have spoken of it too long
Give praise its due right
Leave the gazelles and the fawns
Curb your hopes for those
Whose palms bear heavy clouds
A people whose faces on the meadows
Are stars in the darkness of night
Through Muhammad Al-Hasan they rose
To glorious heights above Capella
They trod the stars with pride
And weighed the mountains with their wisdom
He is the most glorious father of all
The most generous kinsman of all creation
