يا قائماً بالحقِّ حلَّ بنا

ما لا يفرِّجه سِوى لطفك

O you who stand for truth, a plight has befallen us

That only your kindness can relieve

بكَ عنه لُذنا حيثُ لا شَرفٌ

عند الإِلهِ أجلُّ من شرفك

With you we found solace when there was no honor

For with God, your honor is most high

ترضى تعودُ نفوسُنا سَلباً

بيدِ الحمام ونحن في كَنفك

You are content that our souls remain safe

In the hands of the doves, under your protection

ويروعُنا ريبُ المنونِ وقد

عذنا بجاهِ الغرّ من سلفك

And death's uncertainty terrifies us, though

Your grace saved us from past adversity
