عَبدَ العَزيزِ لَقَد ذَكَّرتَنا أُمَماً
كانَت جِوارَكَ في لَهوٍ وَفي طَرَبِ
Abdul Aziz, you reminded us of nations
That were once your neighbors lost in revelry and rapture
ذَكَّرتَنا يَومَ ضاعَت أَرضُ أَندَلُسٍ
الحَربُ في البابِ وَالسُلطانُ في اللَعِبِ
You reminded us of the day when Al-Andalus was lost
War is at the gate while the sultan plays
فَاِحذَر عَلى التَختِ أَن يَسري الخَرابُ لَهُ
فَتَختُ سُلطانَةٍ أَعدى مِنَ الجَرَبِ
So beware upon your throne lest devastation spread
A sultan's throne is worse than scabies
