  1. لا غَروَ إِن أَشرَقَ في مَنزِلي

    في لَيلَةِ القَدرِ مُحَيّا الوَزير

    No wonder the full moon rose in my abode,

    on Laylat al-Qadr, greeted by the minister.

  2. فَالبَدرُ في أَعلى مَداراتِهِ

    لِلعَينِ يَبدو وَجهُهُ في الغَدير

    For the full moon, at its highest orbit,

    appears to the eye upon the water's surface.
