You built your kingdom on a moral foundation

Thus you held the reins over the nations

Yet I see morals now tainted and frail

    Weakened and plagued by disease

I fear for you a stumble after this rise

For unjust rulers, no kingdom lasts

You lost affection you should have kept

And so strife grew between our peoples

Without neutrality, no oath kept by God

After deep wounds, how can there be peace?

If in good accord lies our death

Then no blame rests on one who wrongs life
