Or the she-camel bends her neck in distress
Towards Layla's son when the journey makes you quake
So I brought her near the good folk as a dwelling
And purity - all that the izars were perfumed with
I brought her close, swearing oaths on the old camels’ gums
As a delight from the possessions of Dá‘ir’s two sons
The likes of bounties drive us to move them
To Layla’s son - exile and virgin land for us
Especially the reddish white she-camels that know not
Whether I complain to them when the last of them lag
When the cold turns away from them, it descends upon them
Where the dusty gloom meets the lofty plains
Where the exile of acid (separation) died and mixed
With the clear (tears) around the echo of Hasan and the hollows
When the traveling party hopes for glad tidings, I remind them
Of rain that will have pearls in its hands for them
And how can you hope for slumber when your people
Are where the cow licks her calves?
Cast on the furthest surface, facing them,
A rugged cliff and a smooth, dust-colored plain
And the nearest rural area from them is the pulling
Of the people for seven nights, their rural area deserted
Travel! For Layla’s son is ahead of you
And race him! For good manners are to be raced to
And race towards Layla’s son’s death! For he has
Two palms wherein is no stinginess or limit
Did not Marwan and the Farouq raise
Their palms while the stick (in them) squeezes out sweat?
No stick having two veins like theirs has shaken
When the trees sway in their wooded abodes
Do you not see your people left no shade for their families
And the bark of the trunks from them is peeled?
