My eyes overflowed with tears for the one I love

An apparition came to me late last night, visiting

As if to greet Maimuna with peace, while

His blood cannot be avenged by wealth hoarded

As if the scent of musk moved by the morning breeze

And the bend of a meadow when its rain passes

When the wind came to us from the direction of her land

And the scent of myrrh whose merchant sailed into the sea

The sun beneath its veil invited me to her

With curled hair tangled in the sand dune

As if a wild cow grazed on the sand of a barren land

Yearning for spots grown over with vegetation

Where can I meet the family of Mai now that

A noble prophet has come, while they flee

They want the garden of sorrow to bloom through him

When its thorns and hills grow lions and leopards

To you, son of Abdullah, I drove my she-camel

Disturbed by the toil from her stomach's leanness

And we will wear a cloak of friendship

To you, while the night travels like caravans do

I bid welcome to any coming your way

On foot or mounted, for I bid them welcome

I bid welcome to your hands, which were acclaimed

By those blessed by rain in Najd or Tihama

Leave people be and bring me the Emigrant, for he is

The one whose keys enrich the粥nusant strongholds

And he who reached the eve while his ascent was steep

For Ibn Abdullah has a gentle, smooth ascent
