عَرَفتَ المَنازِلَ مِن مَهدَدِ

كَوَحيِ الزَبورِ لَدى الغَرقَدِ

You knew the stages from Mahdad

Like the inspiration of Az-Zaboor at Al-Gharqad

أَناخَت بِهِ كُلُّ رَجّاسَةٍ

وَساكِبَةِ الماءِ لَم تُرعِدِ

Every sailor anchored by it

And the pourer of water did not thunder

فَأَبلَت أَوارِيَّ حَيثُ اِستَطا

فَ فَلوُ الجِيادِ عَلى المِروَدِ

So the shelters where it extended

The horses stampeded at Al-Mirawad

بَرى نُؤيَها دارِجاتُ الرِيا

حِ كَما يُبتَرى الجَفنُ بِالمِبرَدِ

We see its auspices, the planets of luck

As the eyelids are chilled by Al-Mibrad

تَرى بَينَ أَحجارِها لِلرَما

دِ كَنَفضِ السَحيقِ مِنَ الإِثمِدِ

You see between its stones for luck

Like the sprinkling of bran from flame

وَبيضٍ نَواعِمَ مِثلَ الدُمى

كِرامٍ خَرائِدَ مِن خُرَّدِ

And soft whites like blood

Generous, preserved ones from Khurrad

تُقَطِّعُ لِلَّهوِ أَعناقَها

إِذا ما تَسَمَّعنَ لِلمُنشِدِ

They cut off their necks for entertainment

If they hear the singer

أَلَم تَرَ أَنّا بَني دارِمٍ

زُرارَةُ مِنّا أَبو مَعبَدِ

Did you not see that we are the clan of Darim

Zurara among us, Abu Ma’bad

وَمِنّا الَّذي مَنَعَ الوائِدا

تِ وَأَحيا الوَئيدَ فَلَم يوأَدِ

And among us is the one who prevented the pillow

And revived the victim so he was not destroyed

وَناجِيَةُ الخَيرِ وَالأَقرَعانِ

وَقَبرٌ بِكاظِمَةَ المَورِدِ

And Najiyah of goodness and Al-Aqra’an

And a grave at Kazimah Al-Mawrid

إِذا ما أَتى قَبرَهُ غارِمٌ

أَناخَ إِلى القَبرِ بِالأَسعَدِ

If an indebted one comes to his grave

He anchored at the grave happily

فَذاكَ أَبي وَأَبوهُ الَّذي

لِمَقعَدِهِ حُرَمُ المَسجِدِ

So that is my father and his father

His seat is prohibited in the mosque

أَلَسنا بِأَصحابِ يَومِ النِسا

رِ وَأَصحابِ أَلوِيَةِ المِربَدِ

Are we not the companions of the day of women

And the companions of the banners of Al-Mirbad

أَلَسنا الَّذينَ تَميمٌ بِهِم

تَسامى وَتَفخَرُ في المَشهَدِ

Are we not those Tameem prides itself by them

And boasts about in the assembly
