  1. If you are distressed, struck by a calamity,

    then call out, and set none equal to the house of Dhiraʿ.

  2. They are swift toward kindness, goodness, and generosity,

    and they are not swift toward the caller to baseness.

  3. I clothed the saddle’s wooden supports, after my she-camel,

    with a red, firm-ribbed, four-toothed camel.

  4. Thus no ancestral honor of Nahshal that you witness

    is squandered once it comes into their hands.
