You have conveyed to me the one I hoped

To find, with yearning like clouds promising rain.

How many are starved among you,

Slashing with swords in deadly fight!

How many of us have been changed

By the poison sucked from migration’s teats!

A being is diminished, letting out

A voice, nothing left but a rueful day.

Cries echo in the black night,

Two mountain goats bleating on the hill.
