I remembered where the rainmakers built our dam

So I said, my cousin, son of Darim's house

They pitched my saddlebags when I leaned toward them

With foreign camels and active she-camels too

For them a number among their people, asking for justice

And a cloak of livestock, not barren

I passed by other tribes, though they

Summoned me, but I chose you for great deeds

You were people whose wealth and dreams could heal

    The widening agony of separation

My resting place with you will meet

Caravans from Najd and pilgrims too

But where is my resting place after you, if you abandon me

Can the breasts of warriors abandon at all?
