God has created water, an upright palm tree beside it
With clusters hanging under the branches
When you come to the water, turn to the palm tree
With bread of coarse flour or bread of fine flour
I give the sons of the road, from a nobleman
Drinks that heal the wearied, buried
Had Al-Hajjaj known your knowledge, he would not have followed
Your right hand water, a Muslim, at great cost
You would have pretended to be lame or I would have found you sitting down
Crawling, walking like the son of Wadin
