At night a radiant light knocked at my door,
Coming from a distant land where her abode lies.
How did she find her way when darkness lies between us,
And slumber weighs heavy on her eyes?
She came like a breeze when it stirs,
With her satchels and her orchard.
I whisper to her all night imagining she is near,
Though yearning souls are prone to wishful thinking.
When dawn broke and dreams faded away,
The phantom of desire vanished from my mind.
