O son of Maragha, you only attacked me
With those who precede the doer, the inadequate,
And those who lurk until evening to seize
The displacement of the rider and the tear of the captives
O son of Maragha, how can you seek refuge
While your father is between a donkey and a mule?
And when the dogs of the Maragha tribe settled down,
My house and neighbors were threatened.
Are you wearing your necks
With the knights of Hayja, not the left side?
Like dogs that urinate over their noses
And their leader licks them at dawn
You will not attain my generosity with the villainy of your father
And my glories with the fragmentation of poems
Why don’t you, next morning, count your spears
With resoluteness, horses in the storm
The stallions marked their steeds
And the fortified women are deprived of virginity
They call upon Zayd Manat when you retreated
They do not fear anyone wearing a veil
The clan of Saad endured with their spears
And you exposed your backs to them
So we are more confident in the breasts of your women
During battle, in the dome of the Conqueror
Than you, when riding meets up, it is as if
Locusts swarm on a dusty day
With the women behind, when they meet in the evening
They cry behind the rear of the caravans.
