لَقَد خابَ مِن أَولادِ دارِمَ مَن مَشى
إِلى النارِ مَشدودَ الخِناقَةِ أَزرَقا
He who walked to the fire in shackles
Has failed among the sons of Darim
إِذا جاءَني يَومَ القِيامَةِ قائِدٌ
عَنيفٌ وَسَوّاقٌ يَسوقُ الفَرَزدَقا
If on the Day of Resurrection an angry captain
Comes to me driving Al-Farazdaq
أَخافُ وَراءَ القَبرِ إِن لَم يُعافِني
أَشَدَّ مِنَ القَبرِ اِلتِهاباً وَأَضيَقا
I fear after the grave, if I am not pardoned
More than the grave, tighter and hotter
إِذا شَرِبوا فيها الصَديدَ رَأَيتَهُم
يَذوبونَ مِن حَرِّ الصَديدِ تَمَزُّقا
When they drink boiling water, you see them
Melting from the heat tearing apart
