Indeed the son of Bat’ha, of Quraysh, grew
Through him noble roots and planted glories.
May you be ransomed from the people whoever's concern
Is for worldly things, fancied and worn.
While you, O son of Badr, are for full moons, your splendor
In your palms - not like one who sat withdrawn.
And in you are qualities from Thaqif that lofted them
To heights of glory and raised renown.
