Alas the night knocked and the caravan hastened
Past the crooked valley on the right side of rocky terrain
Racing until it halted though no trace appeared
Of dawn upon the neckline of aligned stars
A she-camel unridden, with milk we left for her
Like glue sticks fast the teats from contact
When my soul recalls more of Ziyad it shrivels
From fear my innards and joints begin melting
