My praise will reach the kinsman of Jarm despite the distance,
A brother of virtue will come from afar praising me
So he may know that I am truthful in speech and maintain ties with him.
So he may know I speak the truth and keep my word
A trustworthy man whose companions do not curse his company,
A brother of trust, companionship with him is never cursed
Generous with what his pack holds, sweet in his ways.
Generous with whatever he carries, his qualities are sweet
Unyielding, unyielding—his qualities are beyond reach,
Noble, so very noble, his traits uncompromised
And whoever vies with him falls short of his eminence.
He rises above faults, those who rival him fall short
For I shall meet no chief from any tribe
I am no stranger to a master among the tribes
Who can be compared with him, except Ibn Urwah, his superior.
None compare but the virtuous son of Urwah
