إِذا ما أَتَيتَ العَبدَ موسى فَقُل لَهُ
فَدَيتَ مِنَ الأَسواءِ موسى اِبنَ سالِمِ
If you come to the slave Musa, say to him:
When you come to the slave Moses then say to him
You ransomed Musa son of Salim from misfortunes.
My soul is ransomed for Moses the son of Salem
عَفا بَعدَما أَدّى إِلى الحَيِّ ثَأرَهُ
وَأُبتَ بُوَجهٍ كاسِفِ البالِ نادِمِ
He pardoned after securing vengeance for the tribe,
He forgave after having taken vengeance on the living one
And you returned with a face clouded by dejection and remorse.
And turned away with a gloomy face, remorseful
