زارِعَ الحَقلِ في البُكور
عَيشُكَ الدَهرُ أَخضَرُ
Farmer in the early morn
Your life forever green
أَنتَ في هَيكَلِ الزُهور
فَيلَسوفٌ مُفَكِّرُ
You in the temple of flowers
A philosopher, a thinker
سَيِّدَ المنجَلِ الحَقير
أَنتَ لِلنّاسِ سَيِّدُ
Lord of the humble sickle
You are lord of mankind
مِن ذِراعَيكَ لِلفَقير
حَبَّةُ القَمحِ تولَدُ
From your arms for the poor
A grain of wheat is born
ماؤُكَ الطاهِرُ الزَلال
مِن سَواقيكَ يَقطُرُ
Your water pure and clear
From your conduits it drips
كُلُّ ما تَقتَني حَلال
بِاِسمِكَ الخَيرُ يُذكَرُ
All you own is lawful
In your name good is told
أَنتَ وجهٌ مُخَلَّدُ
لِلجُدودِ المُخَلَّدين
You are an immortal face
To ancestors immortal
مِثلَهُم سَوفَ تُلحَدُ
طاهِرَ العَينِ وَالجَبين
Like them you will be buried
Pure of eye and forehead
يا بَعيداً عَن البَشَر
أَنتَ لا تَعرِفُ الشُرور
O you far from mankind
You know not evil
تَعرِفُ الماءَ وَالحَجَر
وَالأَعاصير وَالزُهور
You know but water and stone
Storms and flowers alone
