Nothing saddens my soul in this life but a horde,
Nothing in this world has grieved my soul save a certain group,
There's no good in them, nay their evil spreads.
In whom no good resides, yet their evil is all-encompassing.
Their consciences died, full of selfishness,
Their consciences have died within them out of selfishness,
Never to revive, until they decay and fade.
And they shall not be revived until the decayed bones rise.
Their morals are bad, if morals they have,
Their nature is foul, or rather, they possess no virtue,
Except greed, preferring self, and voracity.
Save for avidity, self-preference, and voracious greed.
When they see the image of a shining coin,
When they see the image of the Dinar displayed before them,
They all bow down prostrate, to their chins.
They fall down in prostration upon their chins, every one.
They swore they do not associate with Him,
They have sworn that they ascribe no partners to it;
Wretched is the god, the folk and the oath.
Wretched is the god, wretched the people, and wretched the oath.
