Greetings to you, O men of loyalty,

And a thousand greetings to the loyal women.

O joy of the heart with the youth!

For in them is the beauty of life.

They are the flowers on earth, for there are no flowers,

And meteors when meteors are hidden.

If I exalt the stature of youth,

Youth is the father of miracles.

The fortresses of countries and their walls,

When their guards and protectors sleep.

Tomorrow belongs to them and tomorrow is in them,

So yesterday boasts of what is yet to come.

    Blessed are the mothers who

Give birth to geniuses and brilliant women.

How many a nation has been immortalized by a youth,

And how many a nation has risen from a pen.

I am a poet, forever yearning

For beauty in people and creations.

I love flowers and adore birds,

And am infatuated with the murmur of rain showers.

And the dance of rays over the hills,

And the laughter of streams and giggles.

My eyes behold in this place

    Charming, enchanting wonders.

As if the sky, and in it the birds,

Are fair maidens in which ships are swimming.

As if the flowers sparkle in it

    The falling dew, weeping eyes.

And from a nightingale courting a singer,

And from a blossoming flower to a maiden.

How beautiful is summer in seclusion!

And how magnificent are its clear signs.

The veil was lifted from the beauties of existence,

And they were like its hidden secrets.

    It revived our withered desires,

And they lived as if on barren land.

So on earth there is magic and fragrance in the air,

O for bounty and for gifts!

Before you is a life free and prosperous,

So seize life before opportunities pass.
