I thought that love had left me
I continued to believe that love had abandoned me,
Until I saw her smile
Until I gazed upon her while she was smiling.
My heart shook like a sprout
Then my heart quivered as a young plant quivers
In the desert when the light and breeze pass by
In the wasteland, when touched by light and the breeze.
Oh love for her, do not fear old age or decrepitude
O love for her, fear neither gray hair nor old age,
For neither old age nor decrepitude can overcome you
For gray hair and old age have no power over you.
