Summer has returned to the earth
Youth has returned to the earth with the summer,
Bringing with it youth like a blushing cheek after removing its makeup
So she is like a young maiden whose beauty is complete.
Scenes of greenness in freshness
Images of greenery in vibrant freshness,
That no one who saw it could resist desiring
No one beholds them without desiring them.
The sun sets on its horizons
The gold of the sun lies upon her horizons,
And the blackness of night is musk scattered in its sand
And the blackness of night is musk within her soil.
The breeze of dawn in its trees
The breeze of dawn among her trees
And murmurs that stir the melody of the river
Is a whispering whose echo delights the river.
The streams are dancing temptations
The waterwheels are dancing enchantments;
Their laughter is singing and trilling cries
Their laughter is a song, and their weeping a hymn of praise.
The meadows are enchanting images
The daisies are captivating visions,
And the birdsong is unmatched poetry
And the songs of birds are poetry unmatched.
It is paradise, so strange is one
It is Paradise, so marvel at a man
Who is in it yet barely sees it
Who is within it, yet scarcely sees it.
O you who turn away from its flowers
O you who turn away from her flowers,
If only you knew, o this one, its fragrance!
For you—if you only knew—is their fragrance.
O you asleep to its stars
O you who sleep through the sight of her stars,
God created your eyes just for it
God created their radiance for your eyes.
O you who deprive yourself of its pleasures
O you who curb your soul from her pleasures,
Your soul - never will it be given anything but them
Alas, it shall never be granted any others.
Do not put off for tomorrow what is not
Do not defer until tomorrow, for tomorrow is nothing
Other than a day that has passed and wandered
But a day like the one that was lost and went astray.
And if the soul does not see wishes fulfilled at dawn
For if the soul does not perceive its hopes
How will it see them in the evening?
In the morning brightness, how will it see them in the evening?
This is paradise, so roam in its expanse
This is Paradise, so roam freely upon its hills,
And witness the magic of flowers and water at dawn
And witness the magic in flowers and waters.
And listen to the poetry from its nightingale
And listen to poetry from her nightingale,
For it is poetry that cannot be matched
For it is poetry that has no equal.
How wonderful is summer, how generous
How sweet is the summer, how generous he is!
Filled the world with comfort and prosperity
He has filled the world with ease and luxury.
When it returned youth to the earth
When he restored youth to the earth,
It returned my dreams that time had erased
He restored my dreams that time had folded away.
I used to complain like those who complain of poverty
I used to complain of wasting away as she complained,
So it cured the sorrows of my soul and healed it
Then he healed the pains of my soul and healed her.
