It is the abode of precious life with what it contained
Once a tender sapling and a frisky gazelle
I never imagined it was the garden of eternity
Until I saw the maidens therein
O surrogate of debts, is it just
That an affluent man should trouble a poor man?
Keep in captivity a heart that wished
Passionately to die a captive amongst you
And a martyr for your sake, never to blame you
Have you ever seen before me a grateful martyr?
