By what remains of my life-breath—what your eyes have left me,

and by the unrest that love and longing have stirred in me,

and by what my tears reveal to the tale-bearers

about you, though my heart, scorched with anguish, keeps it hidden—

truly, the most excellent has gathered the excellence whose

kinds are apportioned, in due order, throughout all creation.

Thus every quality, however exalted its merits,

is but part of what he possesses, in form and character.
