1. للهِ خَدٌّ بَدَتْ من حُسْنِه حُجَجٌ

    تُريح عاشقَه من عَتْبِ لائمِهِ

    For God has cheeks marked with beauty

    That soothe their Lover from an accuser's blame

  2. قد أودع الحسنُ فيه ما يَضِنُّ به

    واحتاط فالخالُ فيه طبعُ خاتَمِهِ

    Beauty has endowed them with all they might want

    The mole upon them is like the stamp of the seal

  3. كفحمةٍ عَمَّ صِبْغُ النارِ ظاهرَها

    وغادر البعضَ من مُسْوَدِّ فاحِمه

    Like embers all covered over with the dye of fire

    And some glimpses of darkness peeking out beneath
