أَطْلعَ الحسنُ من جبينك شمسا
فوق وردٍ من وجنتيك أَطَلاَّ
The beauty rises like a sun from your forehead,
Above the roses of your cheeks it rose.
فكأن العِذار خاف على الور
دِ جَفافاً فمدَّ بالشَّعْر ظِلا
As if the clouds feared the roses would dry,
So they stretched their hair to cast a shade.
