فلقد فاقَ حكمةً في الأنامِ

O God, bless the creator of pigeons

He has surpassed the wisdom of mankind

روضةُ العينِ لَذّةُ العقلِ والحس

نِ جِلاءُ القلوبِ والأجسام

The delight of the eye, the pleasure of mind and feeling

The clarity of hearts and bodies

لو توقَّي امرٌّو بشيءٍ من المو

تِ لكانت أَحْرَى بدفِع الحِمَام

If Amr wished for anything

It would be to repel the heat
