1. من سَرَّهُ كسبُ مالٍ لا نفاذَ له

    وراحةٌ قُرِنت بالعز والجَذَلِ

    Whoever desires endless wealth

    And rest combined with honor and nobility

  2. فلا يَمُدَّنَّ عينيه إلى سبب

    سوى القَناعة من مال ومن خَوَل

    Then let him not cast his eyes upon a means

    Other than contentment, whether of wealth or mounts

  3. فيال لها رتبة جَلَّت بلا طلبٍ

    ولا حسود ولا ذل ولا كَلَل

    Oh, what an exalted position it holds without effort

    No envy, disgrace, or burdens does it entail
