1. تَمَّت مَقابِحُ وَجهِهِ فَكَأَنَّهُ

    طَلَلٌ تَحَمَّلَ ساكِنوهُ فَأَوحَشا

    The flaws of his face are now complete, as though

    He were ruins, made desolate by their dwellers, now a waste.

  2. لَو كانَ لِاِستِكَ ضيقُ صَدرِكَ أَو لِصَد

    رِكَ رُحبُ دُبرِكَ كُنتُ أَكمَلَ مَن مَشى

    Had your chest's tightness been for love, or your heart

    Been spacious, you would have been the most perfect of walkers.
