بَكَرَ الأَحِبَّةُ عَنكَ بِالاِدلاجِ
وَغَدَوا بِها سَحَراً مَعَ الحُجّاجِ
My lovers departed at dawn, with pilgrims
At daybreak they left, journeying by caravan
نَصَبوا خِيامَ البَذلِ حَولَ قِبابِهِم
وَتَسَتَّروا بِأَكِلَّةِ الديباجِ
They pitched tents of generosity around their tombs
And draped themselves in brocade
