كالبدر تشرق بين البدو والحضر

O son of the noble one whose virtues shine

Like the full moon between nomad and settled folk

خمست بالفضل ذات الخال مكرمةً

مطوقاً جيدها عقداً من الدررِ

Adorned with merit is she of the beauty mark

A necklace of pearls encircling her neck

من البديع ومن سحر البيان لقد

لقد أوتيت سؤلك يا موسى على قدر

Of eloquence and of the magic of rhetoric

You have been given, O Moses, your request fulfilled
