نظرت فوّار ماءٍ زاد دافقهُ

كعمرك الزايد الوافي مدى الأبدِ

I saw a gushing fountain whose flow increases

Like your ever-growing life, eternal in scope

يفيض في دررٍ يروي بها خبراً

عن كفك الفائض المعطي بلا عددِ

It overflows with pearls that quench and inform

Of your endless generosity and bountiful palm

وراق منظرهُ للعين في طربٍ

كأنه من مرائي دهرك الرغدِ

Its scene is delightful and pleasing to the eye

As if from the meadows of your prosperous days

وقد حلا طعمه في فم شاربهِ

كأنهُ مدحك السامي على الشهدِ

Its taste in the mouth of those who drink is sweet

As if it were your sublime praise of honeyed phrase

لما رأى فيه أوصافاً مشابهةً

لبعض وصفك جارى كل ذي زيدِ

For in it, he saw attributes resembling

Some of your traits that outdo all other men

وطاع أمرك منقاداً لروضك في

سلساله بصفاءٍ خير متَحدِ

And it obeys your command, obedient to your meadow

In a clear chain, the best of unity

يقول حيّيتَ يا نعم البشير ويا

مولى العلى شرفاً يا أعظم السند

It says, greetings my lord, o bearer of glad tidings

O master of the most high, o greatest pillar of support

وزادك اللَه اسعاداً ومقدرة

مدى الزمان بلا همّ ولا نكدِ

And may God increase your joys and fortunes

For all time without worries or troubles
